If your photography skills could use a “jump start” and you fancy the notion of capturing fascinating images from lesser known areas in and around Jogja and Borobudur, sign up soon and prepare yourself for a refreshing 2 days of cultural photography. You will bring home compelling and creative photographs of people, landscapes, cultural activities and the 9th century temple masterpiece Borobudur. This program usually runs on weekendsbut we can arrange to run it mid-weekif we can assemble a group of 6 min,8 max. This isn’t a typical tourist outing.Designed by an award-winning photog-rapher for eager photographers,“off-the-beaten-track” is one way it could be described. Your skill level isn’t important. Melbourne will be on hand to assist each and every one of the group members, answer questions, make suggestions and coach you to improve your photography skills.
Our photo tour and workshop takes us on a walk through a lesser known area of Jogja. We drive through villages and stop to make images of people carrying out their daily activities as they have done for the past century or more. Here is an opportunity of taking photographs of people from an almost bygone age. Melbourne’s approach is to give mini-workshops before we become involved in a new situation

With this constant stream of tips and tricks drawn from over 30 years of shooting experience, you will pick up information that you don’t read in books. We hope to get the chance of shooting Borobudur at night and also early the following morning.
We spend a leisurely morning exploring old villages and photographing the locals at work. This in itself is a highlight of the tour and Melbourne is sure you will capture great photographs along with great memories! Back in Jogja we will shoot some more before it is time to go to the airport for our return flight to Jakarta.
